Mad Hatter Teacup Cake

This was for a little girl's 3rd birthday party.  They found an inspiration cake on Pinterest that was done in pastel colors, but requested bright pink and purple for thier cake.  The bottom tier is 8", carved at an angle into about 6" at the bottom.  The top tier was made from about 4" rounds stacked and carved lightly into a teacup shape.  The saucer is dried fondant.  The entire cake is frosted in buttercream and covered in mmf.  All the decorations are mmf.  Here is a great tutorial for how to make the rolled fondant roses: http://odetoinspiration.com/2012/07/fondant-ribbon-rose/.

Swimming Party Cake

I made this cake for a good friend's little boy.  He had a pool party, and we thought this cake captured the day perfectly!  It is a 6" tier on an 8" tier, frosted in buttercream with fondant decorations.  I found the inspiration cake on Pinterest.

Small Birthday Cake with Bunting

This is a 2-layer 6" round cake with buttercream and sprinkles.  This is my first attempt at a bunting.  It was easy to make, after viewing some diy tutorials I found on pinterest.  I created the letters/shapes in Word and fiddled with the color of each shape until they were sort of an ombre pink.  I might add some simple bows to the tops of the skewers before delivering this one.
